About the event
Experience Midsummer Magic: The Full Buck Moon Paddle
Join us on Wednesday, July 29th for a night that captures the true essence of summer on the water. In the spirit of nature’s cycles, July’s full moon is traditionally called the Buck Moon, marking the time when new antlers emerge in velvet. However, around here, we like to call it the Thunder Moon—a nod to the dramatic afternoon storms that define our July heat. We’ll time our launch to enjoy that refreshed, post-storm air and the stunning "Thunder Moon" rising low and golden over the horizon.
Event Highlights: The Golden Hour: We’ll launch at 7:30 PM to catch the changing colors of the sky as day turns to dusk. Watch for the Moonrise in the southeast shortly after sunset—it often appears larger and more orange when it first clears the tree line.
