Shark's Tooth Excursion
Discover thousands of prehistoric shark's teeth on our unique excursion through a hidden riverbed near Summerville, SC. We paddle less than half a mile from our easy-access launch to reach this exclusive location—a spot inaccessible by boat and perfect for fossil hunters of all experience levels.
This excursion is ideal for beginners thanks to minimal current, calm winds, and protected waters. Along the way, you'll search for shark's teeth along an uneven riverbed while learning about the area's fascinating prehistoric past. While most participants choose to kayak directly over the search area, you're welcome to climb out and explore the shoreline (participants must be comfortable climbing in and out of a kayak from shore or shallow water).
What to bring: Water shoes and a beverage are highly recommended. We provide tools for finding and keeping the treasure you find. The shaded area means sunscreen isn't essential, but it's always a good idea to have it on hand. Individuals $55 per person. Groups of 2 and 3 are $44 per person. Groups of 4 or more are $38.50 per person.
